A Community Gaming Centre (CGC) is a concept introduced by the BC Lottery Corporation to assist the bingo industry in maintaining revenues to Community Charities.
A CGC combines traditional paper and electronic bingo with a limited number of slot machines. Also available are other entertainment options, upscale dining, and free meeting rooms for local non-profit groups. This is provided in a modern facility with a comfortable and relaxed amenity package.
Victoria Bingo has operated for 20 years generating much needed funds for local community groups, providing employment, and offering residents of Victoria a choice in gaming entertainment.
To continue this legacy, Victoria Bingo must evolve into a Community Gaming Centre. To do this, municipal approval is required from the City of Victoria.
To be successful in obtaining council approval, we have to demonstrate that the majority of public opinion is in favour of a Community Gaming Centre.
