The State Transport Authority in SA has put forward plans to close the 'at grade' crossing to pedestrians on the freight line at Blackwood Railway Station.

They have stated that a stairway without a lift and or a ramp will be the only crossing available to those who wish to travel from east to west or west to east across the existing freight line.

People who use child pushers, walking frames, bicycles, gofers, trolleys or any pedestrian wheeled vehicles are requesting to be provided for with a ramp or lift at this site, or that boom gates on the existing crossing ensure the safety of all pedestrians.

We request that user friendly methods of crossing the freight train line are provided at this site for the use of the public and those persons listed above.
