Migrant workers should not be “treated as animals”. Equal treatment towards migrant workers by, providing a hazardous free environment, and providing full union rights. The government should provide full union rights towards migrant workers , to ensure that equal treatment is created globally.
As a result of having no unions, migrant workers have Exclusion from basic human rights legislation such as Health and Safety Legislation and most aspects of the Employment Standards Act, worked 12-16 hour work days, Acute pay discrimination between migrant and non-migrant workforce. These are just some of the concerns.
By signing this petition we stand for change and want to bring this issue towards our government in hopes of creating an awareness towards this ongoing issue.
We, the undersigned, call on our Governments to provide full union rights to Migrant workers.
