Over the past few years, we have seen Brunel University continue to increase the cost of on-campus accommodation deposits.
The University is now charging a £400 deposit to secure a single room on campus. This is a lot of money for a student to find, especially alongside the rising cost of living. It is also an issue for prospective students who do not yet have access to a student loan to pay for it.
We, the undersigned, call on Brunel University to review and explain its decision to increase on-campus accommodation deposits, and to recognise the increasing financial hardship it is putting on its current and prospective students.
