There have been many reports from the patients and staff at South Riverdale Health centre that the patients of the Harm Reduction Program use the washrooms to engage in sex acts, use drugs including crack cocaine, and usage of needles.
Many patients from this program are often high, and engage in verbal and physical attacks on each other or staff. This program ignores the human rights of the patients that do not use the Harm Reduction Program and grossly increases the risk of danger to the health of anyone not in this program.
We, the undersigned, call on the government of Ontario to remove the Harm Reduction Program at South Riverdale Health Centre and designate an entire building just for this program as this program violates the Human Rights of the Patients not is this program and is harmful to the health of the clients of South Riverdale Health centre and its staff.
