* Approximately 50% of Hebrew Foundation School graduates do not continue on to private Jewish high school, but instead opt for private secular high school in the West Island;
* Parents identified the absence of a local Jewish High School as a major factor in their decision to opt for a private secular one.

We the undersigned are dissatisfied with the current choices available to us with regard to Jewish secondary education. It makes no sense given the the current demographic status of our Jewish population that our children have to either commute in order to attend a Jewish high school, or settle for non-Jewish education alternatives closer to home. The need for a school here is both urgent and growing.
My signature below indicates that I would seriously consider sending my child/children to a Jewish high school if it were located in the West Island.
