The end of workplace bullying

I've recently been wrongfully terminated at my job, after I was a victim of an employee bullying me. This employee and I were what I thought to be on good terms. I've been employed working by her side for over a year and a half. I've always been completely aware that she treats not only her co-workers but customers poorly. She approached me while I was training another girl with an attitude and a hostile manner. I let her know that I didn't appreciate the way she was talking to me several times before I finally walked away. I walked to the computers with my trainee and stood next to her in an approachable friendly manner. I asked her what was wrong and why she was being so aggressive. She got defensive and denied her behavior and continued to belittle me. In a playful tone, I smiled and told her to stop being mean or I was going to wipe her eyebrows off. She grew more upset and began speaking to me with fowl language. I again let her know that I was just kidding and I didn't appreciate the way she was talking to me in such a disrespectful tone. She continued to be more aggressive with me and I got irritated, I told her to stop speaking to me that way or I was going to beat her up. She egged me on by saying that I wasn't going to do anything, and repeated the words hit me continuously. My anger grew, as did hers. We got closer to each other and management stepped in between us.

I was wrongfully terminated because I feel as if I'm being bullied by her and I don't agree. I know my actions were not the best. We had a meeting between her, our GM and an employee above our GM and I. She pushed the idea towards management that I deserve a bigger punishment then just a slap on the wrist. She feels when I'm around, she's in danger. This is not the first time she has had altercations with coworkers. She had altercations with other people in the past she did not get along with, and has got them terminated as well. It's a reoccurring matter and no actions take place for her behavior. I believe that I was wrongfully punished and terminated.

I refuse to be bullied and feel threatened by coworkers. I'm responsible, always on time and hardworking. I always treat everyone around me with a high amount of respect. In all hope that the next person who stands up for themselves after being bullied or mistreated is not wrongfully punished. You can sign this petition anonymously.
