Background (Preamble):
Human Rights violations continue at full force in Sri Lanka. Thousands of people are arbitrarily arrested, often tortured or ill treated. There are continued reports of extra-judicial executions and orced "disappearances," and the fate of thousands of disappeared people remains unknown.
Abuses are committed both by government forces and by the armed opposition group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elaam (LTTE).

Please pass this petition onto as many friends of our motherland as possible. This is the time for us to reveal to the world that we all Sri Lankans call to stop and bring peace to this country.
