Due to the movement to train teachers in the use of a gun to use against someone who wishes to harm their students, this petition is to support the teachers who are not willing to arm themselves at school.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, as teachers, refuse to arm ourselves at schools.
We do not feel that arming ourselves will solve the problem of gun violence in schools.
We are committed to finding peaceful ways to solve this national problem.
