A petition of residents of Washington DC, to urge the District of Columbia, the Walter Reed Local Redevelopment Authority, and Hines/Urban Atlantic to include a traditional union staffed grocery store in its project. The store should pay local employees a fair living wage and sell groceries at affordable prices.

We prefer a smaller, traditional format grocer that will not further gentrify our neighborhood, or create regional traffic problems by attracting shoppers and employees from the Maryland suburbs.
