Tougher sentencing laws will reduce incidents.
We, the undersigned, call on the Australian Government to conduct an inquiry into current sentencing laws for peadophile-related activity and increase minimum sentencing laws substantially.
We request a thorough investigation into the effects of child sex abuse on victims and their families.
We believe victims and organizations supporting victims should be heavily involved in drafting more appropriate laws. These new laws shall act as a deterrent and therefore decrease incidents of abuse.
