The Sitka tax exemption for the persons of age 65 and older is up for vote, to be removed.
This "service" to the elderly in our community is a "need" and not a "want"!
For it to be removed would be a hardship upon those affected, more so in these hard times we are facing.

We, the residence of Sitka, AK would like to voice our unified objection to the City of Sitka council members voting in favor of the termination of the 65 & over tax exemption.
