Background (Preamble):
Dennis Ray Coney was convicted of rape over 20 years ago and has been imprisoned in state facilities since that time. He was handed down a life sentence to a crime that produced no evidence. He is now approaching 21 years being imprisoned. The authorities gathered no DNA from him to substantiate allegations made against him.
He has served more than half his life in prison and has certainly paid for the crime that was said that he committed but again no evidence was found in his case concerning his rape charge. He has been denied parole twice in the past reasons being that the parole board doesn't feel that he has been rehabilitated. Certificates of his accomplishments over the years has been sent to show the differ.
Numerous letters have gone out asking the board to consider him for release and countless months have passed but still no reply from them.
