British Troops are asked to make many sacrifices. Inspite of the governments aggressive actions, cutting our armed forces to an unacceptable level, the service men and women now find that they have to give up thier annual leave, because our government have failed plans regarding Olympic security.
Soldiers returning from Afghanistan for holidays are now being asked to forfeit this precious family time to cover for our governments poor organisation and planning, our service personnel will sleep in a dis-used warehouse, they will be asked to give up one or two weeks of their annual leave, G4S employees promised hotel accommodation, with hot meals, whilst our troops live on rations, service men and women having to cancel holidays, wedding functions and more.
How is this looking after our brave service men and women. This government should be ashamed, i know that i am not a proud person at this time. There are 2.5 million unemployed. Did this government and G4S not have the notion to tap into this market?
We the underdsigned call on the British Government to recognise the true value of our service men and women and agree to pay bonus payments for extra duties and sacrifices being made, and support our troops in a dignified manner this is the least they deserve, to secure this country's Olympic games.
