I would like Tileco of 619 Olive St to no longer be located there. I happen to live above Tileco, and i have for over 3 years. Tileco is loud from the second it opens until they lock the doors for the day. They start at 6:30am and go until 5pm most days but times they stay until 6:30pm. We have assigned parking, but there is never anywhere to park, Tileco customers and employees cars are always using all the spots.
Tileco has shipments by semi everyday and everyday Tileco blocks off both sides off Olive to unload the shipment. When they do that you can get by and if the semi is blocking the driveway you cant get out. On days that Tileco is really busy the semi will be parked in the street blocking traffic but the employees have to help the customers that are right in front of them so the semi is blocking traffic from anywhere to 5-25 minutes. If you are late and you are trying to get out of your driveway but cant for 20 minutes and you miss that important doctors appointment.
The dust and dirt that Tileco produces is obscene. My allergies everyday are on overload with the plume of dust that shoots up into every crack of my home every time the gas pedal is pressed on that forklift and the propane moves the machine and hot air blows out the bottom. Then Tileco trying to keep there business clean by sweeping out front just generates more dust and dirt that is getting picked up the air and blown into more homes and buildings.

This is a petition that is going to be given to the city of Santa Barbara and the land lord of Tileco and the apartments above it.
It is simply asking that Tileco no longer be located at 619 Olive St. Tileco has employees starting work at 6:30am followed by the constant beeping of the forklift and many many customers that it generates. With the amount of customers that Tileco has, in reproduces a lot of pollution and traffic. Not only does the traffic effect the immediate residents of 619 Olive St., it also effects the neighboring businesses and housing. Furthermore it effects the congesting traffic that resides at the bottom of Olive St, because of the amount of shipment by semi's that use the middle of Olive St. as their parking lot and the amount of constant traffic due to parking issues and the streets being so narrow.
With the amounts of traffic and shipments Tileco produces a lot of dirt, dust and allergies in the air and on the floors which Tileco employees sweep everyday, which just creates more dirt, dust and allergies in the air that then gets vacuumed into other homes and businesses in the surrounding area.
