The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has proposed in increase in it's toll's on the Bayonne, George Washington, Goethals bridges, Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, and the Outerbridge Crossing.

The hikes would be implemented in three forms. A Peak from 6-9 AM, and 4-7 PM weekdays. As well as a hike in peak hours on weekends from 12-8 PM. Off Peak hours would be from all times, and including holidays. For trucks an overnight toll hike would also be implemented.

The hikes would range anywhere from $6 to $8 dollars on bridges, and tunnels with single vehicles with single wheels to as much as a $12 dollar increase for vehicles with six axles. The hikes as a whole would be a 33% hike for those who use these very important bridges, and tunnels.

A hike would also be put on for PATH train riders by 50 cents! From $1.50 to $2, and 20-40 ride fare cards will increase from $1.20 to $1.50!

I believe this is "UNFAIR" on the backs of New York, and New Jersey residents. With 50% of residents in New Jersey wanting to leave due to the massive property taxes, and New Yorkers who are having a hard enough time just keeping up with the cost of living due to the already massive property, water, electric, gas, and potential hikes on MTA Buses, Subways, and tolls on bridges such as "The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge".

How is it justifiable to tell commuters, trucks, buses, students, seniors, and everyone from all walks of life to pay more for bridges constantly in repair, traffic tieups, and a daily nightmare to each destination?

I believe we should look at other steps to fixing the Port Authority's budget deficit such as increasing discounts on ez-passes, cutting government agencies, spending, most importantly cutting tolls, and fares across the board to increase revenue!

I ask everyone from New York and New Jersey who uses our great bridges, and tunnels to come together.

I ask all our 227,000 passengers who use PATH trains every day, those from all walks of life to tell the Port Authority, and our Governors to say NO MORE TOLL AND FARE HIKES!
