Catholics will be told of their ‘duty to oppose gay marriage’ at mass this weekend.
In a letter to be read to congregations at mass this weekend, two senior Archbishops in the Catholic Church tell followers they have a 'duty' to 'ensure' gays should not be allowed to marry even in civil ceremonies.
We feel as LGBT group leaders that this is against ours and our LGBT communities rights as human beings and that this action is tantamount to incitement of hatred towards the LGBT community and restricts our civil rights.
We the undersigned request that the Catholic Church refrain from excluding people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered from entering into marriage.
We also request that the Catholic institution refrain from publicly asking its members to sign against the inclusion of LGBT people within their religious practices.
