A ban has been introduced to eliminate Pitbulls in Australia.
Although there have been attacks by Pitbulls, there have also been attacks with a lot of other breeds of dog, too. It is moronic to pinpoint a dog's behaviour based on breed. It is purely the OWNER'S responsibility to ensure their dog is capable of acting civil around people.
Instead of killing harmless animals, why not introduce a law which states that in order to have such an apparently "dangerous" animal, a licence is required? If an owner is found to have a dog whilst unlicensed, they should be the ones to suffer. Not the animal.
We, the undersigned, call on the Australian Government to eliminate the ban on Pitbulls & any other breed.
