There is a huge issue of racism within many workplaces all over the country. issues of racism within the workplaces for example… “applicants with White-sounding names (such as Emily Walsh) received, on average, 50% more callbacks for interviews than equally qualified applicants with Black-sounding names (such as Lakisha Washington).” This statistic right here shows the discrimination people of color receive just because of how their name sounds. They do not even get a chance to prove themselves they are judged without even getting a chance. These are some steps we can use to stop this issue within the workplace. “(1) Problem awareness, (2) Root-cause analysis, (3) Empathy, or level of concern about the problem and the people it afflicts, (4) Strategies for addressing the problem, and (5) Sacrifice, or willingness to invest the time, energy, and resources necessary for strategy implementation. Organizations going through these stages move from understanding the underlying condition, to developing genuine concern, to focusing on correction.”

I ask every citizen that wants to see this problem within the workplace solved to please sign this petition to end racism and discrimination within the workplace.
