This petition is to allow the UK population and individuals the right to decide whether they want to participate and support of the BBC or decline to continue paying the license fee which is currently not a choice.
Under the current circumstances with the allegations of systematic child abuse by individuals deceased and still currently working in the BBC I personally do not want to prop up these individuals and pay their salaries and be covered up by a national organisation.
If this were private institution then I’m sure everyone would have already walked away from this so why do we not have the choice to do it in this situation. If you want the choice please sign this petition and make those accountable feel the pain.
We the undersigned call for the government to abolish the mandatory license fee and make this an option for the UK population to decide if they want the BBC or not.
