The previous (Liberal Democrat) Borough Administration raised £7m to build a Park and Ride on the floodplain just outside Windsor.

We don't think this would work financially (it would require millions to build and it is not certain that it would pay it's own way after that - the current P&R in Legoland has c. 20 cars a day).

The Royal Borough have not yet committed to or rejected the scheme but the speculation fueled by leaks to media has been extremely unsettling to local residents.

The debate that has ensued has identified numerous traffic issues in Eton and surrounding areas that need to be addressed. We believe this should be done by a working group of councillors, residents, local employers and the College working together.
