Burros are being killed in Texas because they are said to be a 'nuisance' and a danger to the habitat of other animals, and to vegetation. So far 120 of these animals have been killed.

Supposedly 300 are in the Big Bend Park area. They are said to be difficult to capture, and to entrap in order to make it possible to re-locate them. So Texas is taking the low road, and as gun happy as they are, basically have chosen to just shoot them out of the way.

We, the petitioners of this cause, ask the Governor of Texas to put a stop to the killing of these animals until a more meaningful method can be reached to either re-locate them, and/or determine the exact dangers which they might pose to other habitat life.

A single researcher at U.T. is hardly the voice of the public in this regard.
