Sikhs have contributed a lot towards the independence & upliftment of this country. However, thousands of jokes are targeted on Sikhs/Sardars directly and indirectly.
It's high time the Government should intervene to make sure the generations to come don't form a pre-conceived notion towards this community.
We, the undersigned, call on the Prime Minister of India, Chief Ministers of all states and President of SGPC to pass orders to mobile phone companies, Electronic Media Houses, Print Media, Radio Channels, Movie Directors, ISP's and Publishers to stop bradcasting, transmitting, printing and/or publishing jokes on Sikhs or any community in particular.
General public should also be discouraged from reciting, distributing jokes on Sikhs or any community in particular.
