I have just spent most of the morning removing myself from +-150 groups, THAT OTHER PEOPLE ADDED ME TO!
I wasn't asked permission. I wasn't sent any requests. These groups included: Pornography, Singles sites, many religious groups, semi-racist, anti racist, tons of spam/sales sites etc. Why is it that Facebook requires you to approve absolutely everything else from Pages to Gigs, but not Groups? I honestly feel violated, where is my right to choose? This is akin to Malware/Adware. Who else gets irritated by this?!
We, the undersigned, request Facebook to change it's policies in regards to "Facebook Groups". In that a request must be sent and verified for a Facebook User to be added to any Facebook Group and not to be added without given consent.
As Facebook Users can be added to Groups that are directly opposed to their Religious, Political, Moral points of view and/or be added to "spam" Groups that they do not seek any affiliation with.
