WHEREAS, HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. was given the "go signal" to develop the Sabangan Hydro Electric Power Plant(HEPP) with an installed capacity of 13.2 MW, in Sabangan, Mt. Province.
WHEREAS, HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. was issued an Environmental Compliance Certificate(ECC) for the HEPP dated October 20, 2011.
WHEREAS, the HEPP project is located at Mt. Kalawitan and the Chico River which are both Protected Areas within the Municipality of Sabangan, Mt. Province.
WHEREAS, HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. in their On-going construction of the HEPP Devastated the Environment, Massacring thousands of Trees/Saplings and millions of Forest Growths.
WHEREAS, HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. grossly violated almost all the major articles of the ECC.
WHEREAS, this environmental devastation has posed eminent danger to lives and properties downstream the Chico River.
We, the undersigned, call on the Concerned Authorities to ORDER a Cease and Desist to the HEDCOR Sabangan, Inc. and for them to Rehabilitate, Reconstruct the environmental devastation they have done in their HEPP project in Sabangan, Mt. Province.
