Stop Aluminium Waste Recycling Scams by Councils

Have you ever wondered what happens to the aluminium cans we deposit into so called "recycling" bins ?

Well get ready for a surprise, it is my belief that the aluminium is collected by local authorities and then SOLD to a central reprocessing company. So let's take a long hard look at the situation... the general public wash the cans and then at our own expense drive them to a local collection point under the naiive pretext that we are helping to create a greener more sustainable planet.

I have written and emailed my local authority Surrey County Council asking them to decare the revenue they receive from the sale of aluminium waste and have been pushed from pillar to post as they are obviously not prepared to divulge this information.

By signing this petition I hope to pursuade Local governments that it is our civil right to be wholly informed as to the revenue generated and will present the petition to senior officers in every local authority in the country.
