If you live in or near Cobham in Surrey, you will know the Stoke Road. It is the main route from Cobham High Street to the railway station. The stretch between the Tilt Road and Blundel Lane is a main walking route for many residents to the shops.

The police are supportive of the speed limit on this stretch of the Stoke Road being reduced from 40MPH to 30MPH, particularly given the recent incident near the petrol station involving a resident of the road.

If you support a reduction in the speed limit, please sign this petition so we can put a case to the council which is shown to have strong support from local residents.

This will be raised at the police community meetings in Stoke D'abernon and Cobham. Details are below. Please attend if you would like to support directly.

The Cobham meeting will be in the British Legion on Downside Bridge Road, Cobham on Wednesday 18th March at 7pm.

The Stoke D'Abernon panel meeting will be held in the village hall on Station road in Stoke on Wednesday 4th March 2009 at 7pm.

We, the undersigned, support a reduction in the speed limit on Stoke Road, Cobham, Surrey, from 40MPH to 30 MPH.
