Objectives
Star Football Academy was formed in April 2004, its main objective its to provide youngsters aged between 12 and 18 football coaching with FA qualified coaches. Star Football Academy currently has 54 registered members and has two age groups U16 & U14 the two teams has been competing successfully over the last 4 years in competitive Saturday/Sunday football leagues. For season 08/09 Star Academy is looking to expand this to U12,U14,U16 and U17.Star Football Academy now wishes to encourage young participants to learn by integrating education with their desire for sport.

The academy participants are of Turkish/Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot ethnic minority and the Academy and management committee and the coaches are all Turkish speaking. The academy is very effective in relating to the coaching and academic needs of the participants and advises them in the right direction. Star Football Academy has been awarded FA Charter Standard Club award also the head coach of Star Academy, Koray Palaz was awarded Coach of the year for 2007 www.londonfa.com

The participants will receive.

• Extended Sport Opportunities in Football
• Quality coaching and development delivered by F.A. qualified coaches
• Specific Sports Qualifications and additional awards such as BTEC 1st in sport, BTEC National 2 year course, GCSE retakes.
• Competition in various college and Universities leagues
• The opportunity to undertake various coaching and refereeing awards such as the First4Sport FA Coaching Level 1 certificate in football
• The Football Academy will work in partnership with colleges to provide a comprehensive programme of coaching and skill development. Players will have the opportunity to compete in various leagues and tournaments for one of the College football sides.

Participants will receive regular coaching to develop individual skills and fitness in their football and provide access to sports injury advice and rehabilitation. Star Football Academy, will aim to develop young football talent with the emphasis on identifying, coaching and developing young players, particularly those who have the potential to progress into the first teams of professional and semi professional football clubs. The academy will also cater for the wider development of the young athletes by providing services such as sports medicine, including physiotherapy, sports science and support and advice on education and career development. The Football Academy will be a great opportunity for those wishing to develop their football and continue with further education at the same time.
