I am a 14 year old boy from Lyndhurst, NJ. I like to go skateboarding with my friends but the problem is we get kicked out of everywhere we go, either by angry people or even police, when asked to move on we get treated like yobbos and told to go to our local skatepark which we don't actually have.
Recently I asked a policeman if he could do anything about getting a skatepark in the area and he just gave me 101 reasons why there is no way we can although I know this is not the case, I even called the Parks Department and was given reasons why it is not possible.
We, the undersigned, call on the Township of Lyndhurst to look into building a skatepark in Lyndhurst as it would be a great asset to the area and would be welcomed by the youth of the town.
