Scrap or revise the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1901
Published by jeffrey on Jan 10, 2012
Target: High Court of Australia/ Federal Parliament
Region: Australia
Background (Preamble):
The Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act of 1901 is a foundation document enacted by the British Parliament.
Only 8 referendums have been successful in over the 110 years the Constitution has operated. The Constitution today had been marginalized by legislative superiority.
[R v Kirby; Ex parte Boilermakers Society of Australia (1955-56) 94 CLR 254; (1956-57) 95 CLR 529; (1957) AC 288]
The Constitution contains may archaic and incompatible sections to Common and Natural laws.

Petition:
Simply we are asking the Australian public to consider two options at this point in time.
Two options.
a: Scrapping the Constitution of 1901. By convergence with a freshly drafted Constitution. Whereas all "targeted sections" incompatible with Common Law are removed and the inclusion of a specific Bill of Rights.
b: Revision of the Constitution of 1901. All identified incompatible sections of the Constitution are amended.
A referendum based on majority then called.
