Today there are still children in African countries who cannot afford to be schooled, there are still children who do not eat a proper meal in a day. There is still rife poverty and areas where schools are closed down and abandoned as people cannot afford to pay school fees.
We have to act and petition governments to eradicate this poverty and this lacking. It is not enough to build schools and feed children these acts must be complimented by free education and government support.
Schools must be supported even where there is one classroom and school fees must stop being a barrier to children's futures.
We the undersigned call on the African Union to investigate and ensure that every African country will give all its children access to free schooling and a free school meal.
It is absolutely unacceptable that in this day in age children go without schooling due to poverty and without a proper meal in a day.
