School District in Price Utah should be Run Like a real business

I worked for 24 years in the Carbon School District warehouse in Price, Utah. We made stock sheets of everything that came into the warehouse. The orders were charged to the schools at the time they pleced them. If an item was not delivered we would mark that item to be credited back.

This kept an up to date record of everything that came into and out of the warehouse. When I was hired I was told that nothing was to be delivered without paperwork. We were told by Patti Rigby not to require paper work and to just give them what ever they wanted.

I would like to know where Mrs Rigby got the right to make us give away items that were puchased by tax dollars. Our inventory was way off and as manager of the warehouse I was accountable.

The warehouse Inventory is about 3/4 of a million dollars. Yet in 2009 the last year that I worked in the warehouse the Inventory was short $220,996 losing more than 25% of our merchandise.

Under the direction of Patti Rigby the School District has no idea of what they have in the warehouse. With the computer and the paperwork that is already in use I believe that the Inventory should be very close.

I can only imagine the creative bookkeeping that is going on to keep the school district out of trouble. What the schools want and need can not be ordered for them if we don't Know what we do not have. I do think that the Carbon School District should be run like a real business and have to keep the proper books.
Patti is a C.P.A. she could have balanced the books if she would have taken the time to do so.
