17 year old Saylor Voris valiant and brave 18 month struggle with leukemia has been an inspiration to the entire city of San Clemente and beyond.
She ultimately lost this battle but her memory lives on. Her will to live and refusal to ever give up is a testimony to others who find themselves going through hard times.
Saylor Voris is just the type of person who should be memorialized forever in our wonderful seaside town.
We, the undersigned, call on the San Clemente City Council to name one of the four parks in the new Sea Summit development, adjacent to the Outlets at San Clemente, "Saylor Voris Memorial Park", to honor the life of a young woman who has been a true inspiration to thousands of people.
