It is extremely dangerous having elementary school students housed in the same building with Middle School and High School aged children. The Charter School students will be picked by lottery and reside in all different demograhpic areas in the Bronx. By letting this happen, will place an unsafe enviornment for our elementary children.
Jeremy Dreyfuss, 13, is an eighth-grader at Coleytown Middle School in Westport, Connecticut. "As you get older and grow out of the elementary school phase, it is important to get into a more concentrated and mature learning environment."
We the undersigned, are concerned parents and residents of Co-op City who urge our leaders to act now to oppose the idea of housing a Middle School and High School Charter School at Elementary School P.S. 160.
