"Sam the Record Man" opened its doors on Yonge street in 1961.
For almost half a century the wonderful employees have welcomed everyone with open arms and has since then created a musical history within Toronto that will live on longer than then store does.

On June 30, 2007. Sam the Record Man on Yonge St in Toronto, ONT will close its doors forever taking a little piece of Toronto's musical history with it.

We, the undersigned, call on the City of Toronto and Mayor David Miller to preserve Toronto's History and declare Sam's Sign a honorary HISTORICAL LANDMARK.

Sam has opened his doors to Canadian artists and customers for so many years. Let's keep the historical sign intact and show Bob Sniderman just how much him and his sign mean to not only the history of Canadian music but the future as well.
