The Laxey MER Sub-Station is to be decommissioned in September 2013. The decision to retain the sub-station in it's original condition is now under review and there is the threat that the Edwardian electrical apparatus may be removed and disposed off.
It is the last of its kind in the United Kingdom. We need your support to help save the sub-station and the Mercury Arc Rectifiers.
