Petition Background (Preamble):
The Metro Toronto Zoo is euthanizing male reindeer calves in order to control the population. The female reindeer calves are safe. It is strictly the males that are being targeted.
The Zoo's Board of directors have decided as a last resort to euthanize all male bulls as they cannot house anymore. They do however continue to breed the reindeer and are consciously killing half of the babies bred in the process.
The Zoo is also refusing to give the babies away to individuals who are willing to take them simply because they do not have "special" permits to care and house them.

Petition:
The Zoo's cull policy needs to be addressed. They need to stop this action and find an alternate solution to the problem. They need to allow individuals and farms in society to adopt their unwanted calves.
We the undersigned call for the Board of the Metro Toronto Zoo to amend their cull policy.
Supporters are prepared to boycott the zoo.
