We the undersigned are concerned that Worcestershire County Council, in conjunction with the Departmment for Education, is forcing the Governors of Perry Wood Primary & Nursery School to take steps to turn the school into a sponsored academy, furthermore we are concerned that the council so far has been unwilling to involve parents and other interested members of the local community in this issue.
We the undersigned call upon the council to hold an open meeting to which all stakeholders will be invited.
This should include parents, school staff, members of the local community and representatives of other organisations and agencies who have an interest in the school.
This meeting should take place before governors are asked to take any decision in principle to proceed to academy status for the school.
