13/1/09 -The Post Office have just announced that they have decided to keep Oxgangs Post Office open.

Background (Preamble):
The Post Office Ltd are proposing to close Oxgangs Post Office in Edinburgh because they have decided to keep open Calder Crossway and Elm Row after a recent consultation.
No prior notice was given of this proposal and Firrhill and Fairmilehead Community Councils are working with the Post Master to retain this vital service in the area.
The closing date for submission was 15 December and the Community Council submission can be found at:
