By November 24th, Canada Post Corporation will make a decision to keep open, or to close the retail postal counter at 21 Main St North in the Village of Markham.
This Retail counter serves the community well and is most often accessed by foot.
A great deal of seniors and businesses depend on this counter staying open. While there are franchise outlets within a 5 km radius, for seniors it will be hard to access.
The whole Village concept relies on foot traffic. What better way to help maintain and increase foot traffic than the post office.
Lets keep good quality public services in our community !
We, the undersigned, want the corporately owned retail postal counter located at 21 Main St North in Markham to remain open to serve the community of the Village of Markham.
