Some influential’s in power at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have grabbed the public property and have illegally constructed two restaurants; Diwan e Khas and Coffee Pot.
Earlier this was the only place exclusively for ladies but no more. They gathered and protested earlier this week against it and would continue but they need public support.
Some of male members of society are helping these ladies to help achieve what they want, but they need your support from of all particularly from females around the globe to put pressure on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government (Pakistan) through western countries and donors states to stop funding the KP government in any project unless they have agreed to free the ladies club. Handing back it to ladies.
They also have a request that all should boycott having food at both the restaurant’s unless a serious decision is announced.
We, the undersigned, call on the government of Pakistan to rid the Ladies Club of University Town of Peshawar from any influence, ownership or restriction by any group or individual so that the local residents can use the public property for communal and social activities.
We urge the local, provincial and national governments to relieve such public properties from any ownerships by an individual or groups and hand them over to the public departments so they can be utilized for the very purposes they were built for.
