SA Health Minister, John Hill, on October 9th 2012 made a comment at the opening of a rehabilitation service at the QEH that the future of the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre needed to be looked at.

Later in conversation with Mr Hill, told the City North Messenger "there was always a question about what we do with the Hampstead". "It would make sense to combine the resources of the Hampstead and St Margaret's with an updated QEH," he said.

Mr Hill said it was too early to know what would happen to the Hampstead centre if services were moved to Woodville South.

"What this is about is a conversation," Mr Hill said. "People who are concerned need to become part of the conversation."

We are having that conversation and we wish for the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre to remain where it is.

To the House of Assembly, SA:

Your petitioners therefore request that your Honourable House will urge the Government to retain and improve the world class services of the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre in Northfield, South Australia.
