Petition Background (Preamble):
PCT (PRIMARY CARE TRUST) want to close down our only local respite for disabled children.
It caters for 13 children which all have their own individual needs and respite for them and there familys most of the time they have one to one devoted staff with registered nurses on site at each shift they also have open access to our local children's ward who cater for there individual needs.
CHILDREN WILL BE SENT FURTHER AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILY, some of whom would find it difficult to travel to see their children.

Please support our cause to save Digby Court which is local respite centre for disabled children. Their families
need this care centre to stay open.
It is important for these children, many of whom have complex special needs, to have continuity of care and for the families to feel that their children are being cared for in a safe, secure setting with which they are familiar.
