Chatham, NJ –

Chatham Township listened to your concerns and decided to repair the park’s ramps. The ramps were fixed this week, resolving the unsafe conditions. Once the insurance adjusters come to inspect, the park will be opened to the public again, hopefully by Friday February 8th.

We need your help to further improve the park!

The park’s skating surface is still quite bumpy – a factor that had led to a drop off in park usage in the first place. While not unsafe, the rough surface makes skating frustrating. We have found an acrylic seal coating product (Nova Play) specifically designed for skate wheels. It can be applied to the asphalt without removing the ramps, and will make the surface beautifully smooth for skating once again. The township has stated that it is not willing to pay for this improvement, and is relying on us to raise the $15,000 necessary to do the work. Please consider making a donation to restore the park to its full potential.

Our goal is to raise the money as quickly as possible so that the new surface can be applied well before the summer.

With your help, the park will be better than ever!

Checks should be made to Chatham Township, with “Skate Park” in the memo line. Donations should be mailed to:
