Background (Preamble):
Roadways in Mendocino County are in desperate need of repair.
Such County roadways are increasing fuel consumption, hinder the response time for emergency vehicles, cause accidents and these road conditions are responsible for an increased rate of "wear and tear" on driver's vehicles.
Specific areas of concern are the areas on Hwy. 162 between Hwy. 101 and the town of Covelo; North State Street in Ukiah; and the stretch at Hwy. 101 Southbound from Willits to Lakeview Highway in Ukiah.

The residents of Ukiah, Willits and surrounding areas within Mendocino County are deeply concerned about the declining road conditions in our community.
