Please sign our petition. On March 18, 2011,Ohio Gov. John Kasich put into affect that 80 million dollars would be cut from childcare annually. These cuts have directly affected subsidized child care (Title XX) recipients, their families, and child care centers as a whole. As a result many childcare centers have been forced to close or cut spending on quality education.
We the parents, taxpayers, members of the community, must reject these cuts as they have resulted in a decrease of affordable, quality, safe, and effective early childhood education programs.
We ask you to stand with us by signing this petition as we urge our elected officials to revise the budget cuts in order to ensure that our children will receive the highest level of education possible despite gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
