Reschedule HHS Homecoming Dance '22

The way they have planned out the day is quite frankly very impractical for most students. Having school, going to the game then, going to the dance is a lot to do for one day. Some may not be able to organize their schedule to accommodate these many events for a single day.

Several students have also already purchased formal attire with the intention of wearing it to Homecoming. Whether it is a new dress, suit, shoes, etc. students went out of their way to purchase these items and, they´re expensive. While it is mentioned that you may wear what you would like to the dance it is simply not reasonable whatsoever. Many students have voiced not being comfortable getting dressed up because they are, "scared to be the only ones dressed up." Aside from that, the dance being held right after the game doesn't give students any time to get ready if they do wish to dress up. Are we expected to show up to the game in formal attire? Students showing up to the game in their Homecoming outfits is both unrealistic and a safety hazard.

Another thing to put into consideration is that if the dance is held a separate day many more students will attend the dance. This allows HHS to raise more money from tickets. Whether the money goes to charity, senior scholarships, school improvements or the dance itself there is more money to be spent. The money from our tickets go to good causes so, why not make more for these causes if you have the opportunity?

While this petition may not reach the goal we hope it does, its main intention is to get HHS students the homecoming dance they wanted. Please sign, repost, and share this petition!
