The speeding problems on Gordon St. are out of control. Speeds excelling 50mph at times are a serious safety issue for our neighborhood.
The stretch on Gordon St. from Rutledge Ave. all the way to the Ashley River has become a raceway for trucks, school buses and cars.
There are many young families with small children who are in immediate danger.
We the residents of Gordon St. in Wagener Terrace are demanding immediate action from the City of Charleston to install speed humps, speed limit signs, Children at Play signs, and frequent police monitoring. Thank you.
We the undersigned citizens of the City of Charleston, South Carolina, respectfully request that the city install the appropriate speed control devices (speed humps, speed limit signs, Children at Play signs) to assist in controlling speeding on Gordon Street.
