The next few months of 2014 are of immense importance to the future of Scotland. As a public body funded by and answerable to the people of this country the BBC has a duty to aid the people of Scotland in making their decision on what is a complex and crucial question.
At the moment the independence debate on the BBC is guided and controlled by an editor who is very much on one side of the argument and seems incapable of supporting balanced guidance to both his organisation and the public.
We, the undersigned, call on BBC Scotland to remove Brian Taylor from his position as Political Editor of BBC Scotland and to replace him with a suitable journalist who is more capable of presenting balanced public debate at this crucial time.
