"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is a policy that doesn't allow openly gay/ lesbian people to join the military. It needs to be repealed because it's extremely discriminatory, puts our country at greater risk by discharging so many people, and the attitudes towards homosexuals (which were negative when the policy was enforced) have become positive.
Honestly nothing good comes from it because all it does is forces the people who actually fight for us and protect us to lie and deny who they really are; otherwise they aren't allowed to fight for us anymore.
Congress needs to repeal this policy because nothing good comes from it.
And the only thing preventing it being repealed is homophobia, so why should it stay?
